A Word from Dr. Chambless
I am a therapeutically licensed Doctor of Optometry. I practice full scope Optometry to the full extent of state law. I treat a significant number of glaucoma patients. I perform several procedures including foreign body removal, nasolacrimal probing and irrigation, epiliation, and puntal occlusion. I have a large dry eye therapy practice. I co-manage refractive surgery patients, post-operative cataract patients, and patients who have had corneal transplants. I examine as young as eighteen months of age. I treat refractive and strabismic amblyopia. I fit all types of soft and rigid contact lenses including bifocals, multifocals, lenses for keratoconus, and contact lenses for corneal refractive therapy.
I usually acquire more than the thirty-eight hours of continuing education every two years. Throughout the year, I attend lectures on various ocular conditions in Macon and Warner Robins. I acquire about sixteen hours of CE at the GOA meeting in Athens, GA. I subscribe to and keep up with the following journals: Review of Optometry, Contact Lens Spectrum, Optometry Journal, and AOA News.
I want patients to feel welcome in my practice and have a great overall experience from the minute they sign in to the time they pick up their new prescription eyeware. I provide excellence in eye care and practice to the highest ethical standards.
